The Gramin Dak Sevaks(GDS) are being recruited by the Government of India across India for all States Postal Circles. There are almost 20,000 vacancies in 23 states.

Now the Government of invited application to fill 5778 Gramin Dak Sevak vacancies.

Notification Details

There will be no written exam for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) posts and 10th pass candidate can apply for these posts. There will be no additional advantage for higher-educated candidates, but the candidate with a higher percentage in 10th class will get priority in selection.

If two candidates have equal percentage then the older candidate will get preference over the younger one. Similarly, if a candidate passed his 10th class examination in the first attempt, will be selected over the one who passed the exam with a compartment or in the second attempt.

A merit list will be prepared based on the above-mentioned formula and as per the merit list, a candidate will be called for document verification.

Important Dates:

Starting Date to Apply Online: April 5, 2018

Closing Date to Apply Online: May 4, 2018

Age Limit (As On April 5, 2018)

Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 40 years

Age Relaxation:

For SC/ST Candidates: 05 years
For OBC Candidates: 03 years
For PH (above the respective category) candidates: 10 years

Qualification:

10th pass

Basic computer knowledge

Application Fees:

For General/OBC candidates: Rs 100/-
For SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen: Nil

Click on "Apply Online"

Read the advertisement details very carefully to ensure your eligibility before "Online Application"

Click on "Online Application" to fill up the application form online

The candidate would be directed to a page where he/she has to click on "Apply Online" (for the first time registration or new registration)/ already registered candidate just need to "Sign In" by using their application number and password sent to their valid e-mail ID/Mobile No. (This is required always for logging in to their account for Form Submission and Admit Card/Call Letter Download)

Fill up the application form as per the guidelines and information sought

Candidates need to fill up to all required information in "First Screen" tab and click on "SUBMIT" to move next screen.

Fill the all details in the application & upload Photo, Signature.

Application fee should be paid through Online & then Submit the Form.

Take a print out of online application for future use.
